The “Presentation As part of The Interview” seems to send some candidates into a cold sweat that is neither helpful nor practical.

Prepare as best you can, keeping the most beneficial fact to the forefront of your thoughts, that being, time is the answer. The norm is that candidates are given some time – if you are in luck maybe 4minutes to examine and make notes.


Do not read a presentation, this is where candidates seem to go aground, a presentation is a presentation, not a library reading or a speech!


The “lights, camera, action” part of this type of Interview usually takes approximately 30 minutes. 15 minutes of the candidate’s oral presentation which should outline decision and rational behind it. Then a 15-minute allocation for assessors to seek clarification and ask questions.
